Daniel Gregory, Inc. was founded in 1985 by Winfield E. Ziegenfuss Jr. At that time Ziegenfuss was Vice President of Scarborough Corporation. In 1989 Ziegenfuss was named President of Scarborough and continued in that role until 1995, at which time Daniel Gregory, Inc. became active. The company constructed numerous custom homes and provided contracting and consulting services to builders, investors and land owners. These consulting services ranged from hourly advice to the management of million dollar plus land development contracts and bond release services. It also included the reconstruction of 10+ homes to comply with FEMA standards. The company also provided construction management services to other builders/investors including construction of 50+ multi-family units. In 1998, the company entered an inactive status when Ziegenfuss became Division President of Ryland Homes Delaware Valley division. When Ryland decided to exit the Delaware Valley market, Ziegenfuss took a position as Vice President of Land Resources for Ryland North Central region, covering 10 divisions from San Antonio to Minneapolis. Ziegenfuss retired from corporate life in 2006 and Daniel Gregory, Inc. became active again.

Recently the company has been providing construction management services to owners. This work has included the construction of custom homes in Haddonfield and Mullica Hill, construction of a 10,000 sf two story office building in Winslow Township and oversight of major renovations for homeowners. The company has developed and sold lots to other builders. The company also provides consulting services to Ryland Homes, specializing in environmental issues and Clean Water Act compliance.
